Click-Partners - by Alan Biron - A century ago, the term ‘games’ would have referred to either field sports or games like Chess. With the advent of technology and more recently, the Internet, the term has taken a new meaning. Online gaming has gained massive popularity over the last few years. People no longer play games in the comfort of their homes but also in cyber cafes and, as techies will vouch for it, in offices! Read more

by Howard Brule - Obviously, a company must take care when hiring, not only because every employee represents the firm, but also because every employee is entrusted with access to information and resources which, if abused by an untrustworthy employee, could impact the business detrimentally.
This requires you to do background checks on potential employees, to find out as much as possible about their past. If you are able to discover whether or not your prospective employee has a criminal record, that information can be priceless. This is why criminal record checks are gaining in popularity. Read more
The Battle Over “Natural” Foods

CVNToday - Everybody wants “natural” products these days, so food producers are quick to label their products as “natural”, even if in some cases this is stretching the facts or bending the rules. In fact the rules - usually spelled out by the US Food and Drug Aministration (FDA) - are sometimes not clear. As is the case with the sweetener called high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
In response to a question from FoodNavigator-USA.com about the legitimacy of food producers labeling foods “natural” that contain HFCS, an FDA spokesperson gave an unequivocal “no”.
This was the FDA spokesperson’s comment on HFCS: “The use of synthetic fixing agents in the enzyme preparation, which is then used to produce HFCS, would not be consistent with our… policy regarding the use of the term ‘natural’. Consequently, we would object to the use of the term ‘natural’ on a product containing HFCS.” Read more
Personal Injury Cases Tough Going

Personal injury law is concerned with providing justice for people whose lives have been harmed by wrongful conduct including negligence. You need an experienced personal injury lawyer who only represents people who have been injured in vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, boat accidents, airplane accidents, and other types of accidents involving personal injury.
There are many different types of lawyers - including divorce, criminal, tax, or real estate - but a personal injury attorney specializes in the intricacies of personal injury lawsuits and in negotiating fair settlements.
It may be helpful to consult a legal directory for information about personal injury law. But you will get the most relevant information and assistance from a local personal injury attorney. Unfortunately some people think they do not have the money to hire a personal injury lawyer to represent them.
Dust Mites and Allergies

Dust mites are surprisingly common, and for some people they can cause huge problems. These microscopic bugs are found in nearly every home and survive on old skin cells shed by humans and pets. Dust mites are not usually harmful to humans - they don’t bite or suck blood - their waste products and dead remains are so small that they can be inhaled as dust and cause allergies in some people. An allergist can find out if you are allergic to dust mites.
If someone in your home has an allergy to dust mites, you’ll need to try to get rid of many of the mites and remove the source of the irritation. The best place to start is by making the conditions less hospitable to the mites.
Here are some things you can do to make dust mites less of a problem:
Where Did Those Jeans Come From?

Why do we love our jeans so much? It’s not very difficult to understand. Jeans are comfortable, they last a long time, they’re not terribly expensive, and they are fashionable. You can wear them for working outdoors, for lounging around watching TV, for dress up affairs or casual get togethers. You can even wear them for your next guest appearance on the Jay Leno show. As the expression goes, you can live in your jeans.
Who Invented Jeans?
There is no one “inventor” of jeans. Believe it or not, they evolved over a long period of more than 400 years.
Traditional jeans are made of a woven cotton fabric called denim. Denim is a rugged cotton twill material with a distinctive diagonal weave that makes it very tough and very versatile.
This distinctive fabric was developed in Europe from a similar thick cotton cloth that had been made in India since before the 1600s. That older material was called dunagree - the origin of the term “dunagarees” - which was normally dyed in indigo blue and sold in the district near Dongarii Fort on the outskirts of the Indian city of Bombay. Portuguese sailors on trading vessels wore a lot of dungaree clothing and took it with them across the known world.
Later in the 1600s a similar cloth called “serge” was being woven in France near the city of Nimes. The name “serge de Nimes” was soon shortened to “denim”, and the rest is history.
Denim trousers became known as “jeans” because the port of Genoa (Genes in French) became a major manufacturer of denim pants. The sturdy pants were used by sailors in the Genoese Navy. They were ideal for sailors, like modern teenagers - who had to practically live in their clothes. They could wear their denim clothing wet or dry, the legs could be easily rolled up, and they could be washed simply by dragging them behind the ship in a large net.
