Healthy Skin Tips
Believe it or not, following a healthy diet you can drastically alleviate your skin's condition. Perhaps you remember a family member or friend telling you back in high school about chocolate and French fries causing acne, and dismissed it as a myth at the time. But they were right, after all. What you eat does impact your skin health, and dietary changes can usually make living with eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, dandruff, rosacea or severe acne much easier.
Paying more attention on what you are putting into your system every day is a great starting point in identifying possible pitfalls. Currently American people are following a sort of acne diet, usually full of processed and fast foods, white flour, high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, and numerous artificial flavourings and colors. The procedures of ultra-processing the foods we eat usually strip out valuable nutrients and vitamins and substitute them with artificial components that may exacerbate already existing inflammatory conditions.
Some experts declare that toxic build-up in the body is the cause of dermatitis, acne and other skin problems. Some declare that, due to the toxic nature of many of foods commonly consumed and a weak intestinal lining, our blood can be full of poisons. The liver and kidneys cannot filter the skin fast enough to rid the body of these toxins. Other organs such as the skin become the fail-over filter. And this can produce skin outbreaks.
Interestingly, those with psoriasis appear also to have a higher incidence of food allergies and sensitivities. The most common food allergens are gluten and dairy. That may not imply you have overt celiac disease or lactose intolerance, but a milder sensitivity harder to identify. If you have psoriasis, you may want to eliminate gluten and dairy from your diet and see if your skin responds. Although a vegetarian diet is advised, a few vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, strawberries, and eggplant can usually worsen your symptoms and should be avoided. Other items like heavily processed foods, fried foods, soda, caffeine, and alcohol may cause increased inflammation, and you must absolutely avoid them if you suffer from psoriasis. If you notice any reaction from other foods, you would do well to avoid them as well.
A healthy skin diet, rich in vegetables and fruits and their juices, plus the adequate natural skin care products, may help to mitigate some of the discomfort associated with not only psoriasis, but other skin ailments as well, such as rosacea and acne. In addition to liberal water amounts, at least 8 glasses each day, individuals should aim to fill most of their diet with fresh fruits like grapes, mangoes and peaches, and vegetables such as squash, cucumbers and lettuce. Very reduced portions of meats and low-fat dairy products, eggs, and olive oil are also suggested. Consuming these types of foods is not only beneficial to people suffering from skin ailments, but is also a great way for people not currently afflicted to keep their healthy skin and avoid future ailments from appearing.
Prevent the complications of aging and several skin conditions applying a natural skin care product elaborated only with biological ingredients.
