Years ago, when there weren’t all of these chemical products on the market, people had to use what they had when a problem occurred. And even years later, when there were chemical products available they didn’t need to use them because they already knew of natural products that worked for them. So why should they change now to something ‘unsafe’? Natural products always worked. There is no need for them to spend extra money.
They would use products and food that they had around the house to cure sores, pimples, bad breath, ingrown hairs and more. Most Nanas believe that chemicals and anything else that’s new on the market is unnecessary, just like they think that technology is out of this world. Using natural products for cures and beauty treatment is better than using anything else.
Many products can be used for reasons other than the obvious. For example, almonds, rosemary, geranium, teach real, avocado, sunflower, vanilla, lemon, anise, mint, cocoa butter, sweet orange, jaffa and mixed berries are all things your grandmother may have around and that you have, too — and that you can put to use.
For example, if you’ve got digestive problems, drink a little lemon juice every morning to get your digestion working. Add a little bit to a glass of cold water to quench your thirst. It’s much better for you to do this than to drink something that has lots of sugar, preservatives, coloring, and so on. You can also use lemon for flu and cold. In the event you feel a cold coming on, mix a little warm lemon juice with some honey and take a tablespoon three times a day.
Your grandmother probably also likes tea tree oil, and perhaps you remember her putting on some tea tree oil if you hurt yourself. It’s also great for cuts, acne, ingrown hairs, rashes, smelly feet, abrasions, and a lot more. In your own home, keep a bottle of tea tree oil on hand. You’ll be surprised at how often it comes in handy. In fact, you’ll probably wonder how you ever lived without it after a short while.
Got a smelly house? Don’t spend a lot of money on air fresheners that are laden with chemicals. Instead, put some fresh rosemary into a vase or basket in each room of your home. This gives off a clean, fresh smell that is unique and doesn’t smell like those flowery air fresheners. Instead, it smells natural and incredibly unique.
Bad breath is something many people suffer from, even if they brush their teeth three times a day. Sometime bad breath stems from stomach problems and bad thyroids, and individuals can’t help their bad breath. If you carry mint leaves with you and chew on one when you notice the bad breath come on, then you won’t have any problems. Just remember your leaves wherever you go. Parsley is also good for bad breath if that is easier for you to get your hands on.
Using natural products will not only be more cost effective for you, but you will also feel better once you have used it. It doesn’t have as many side effects involved, so you should find no problem with the products.
