The Jade Yoga Mat

As anyone who has tried yoga knows, the most important piece of equipment is your mat. It can be difficult to find one with just enough cushion that also grips the floor, your hands, and feet well. Many of the economy mats flooding the market are too short and tend to slip. Additionally many of the mats on the market today are made of PVC, EVA, and other artificial or petroleum based products.

All you have to do is air out your mat a little when you first get it. The smell will fade. Also, it is important to keep in mind that natural rubber tends to way more than the synthetics. Some might find this a little more challenging, or inconvenient to bring to yoga classes. But in my opinion it is well worth it for what you get from using this mat.

As you reach for those hard to get into moves, or heavy balance positions, you need something that is going to help you by having both cushion and traction.
