The Chaoyang Park, not far from the Sanyuanqiao Airport Express transferring station, makes the prime choice for nature lovers to enjoy warm weather and green grass. Right on the site of a Qing dynasty princes mansion, the park has grown into Beijings largest park with one the most capacious green spaces in the capital city.

The greatest hit is undoubtedly the new 20,000-square-meter artificial beach on the parks east side. You dont have to travel outside Beijing for warm sand. The sand for the beach comes from the Beijing Olympics Beach Volleyball Ground shipped from tropical Sanya, where Chinas best quality sand is found.

Two outdoor swimming pools allow for great fun splashing around, and a tremendous fountain offers the opportunity for some nice photo shots.

Yearning for the thrill of being on the edge? Try the 75-meter-high bungee tower, the highest in all Beijing! Ok, thats a little scary, so, why dont stay on the ground and relax in a hired boat to enjoy the lake and your ice cream?

Exhausted? Try the world-class spa here at the No.8 hot spring club. They dug over a mile down beneath Beijing to reach a hot spring that can be a real joy for you. And there you will find a pool with fish species that nibbles your skin. Yes! Thats their famous fish massage. Dare you have a try?

Hungry? Simply exit the west gate, and you will find some of Beijings best exotic eats at the famous Lucky Street!

Lucky Street: a taste of home

Nestled in this chic street are a dozen of Beijings best foreign restaurants, offering every exotic cuisine from Mediterranean to Japanese.

If you are in a difficult time adjusting to Chinese taste, this is where you will get a flavor of home. Most of the restaurants fly their ingredients in from their home countries.

You wont feel you are a foreigner here. Restaurants on the street are popular with expatriates, foreign tourists, and ambassadors from the nearby embassy area.

However, if youve already fallen in love with Chinese food, which is great, a few Chinese restaurants serving ethnic cuisine wont let you down.

One of them is Yang Jin Ma, a Tibetan restaurant that not only serves milk tea and yak steak, but puts on traditional Tibetan performances that will offer you a unique flavor of the Tibet — roof of the world and the land of Yak and Yeti.

Workers Stadium: time to party

Not far from the famous embassy area stands the Beijing Workers Stadium. The stadium is the home stadium for Beijings proud soccer team, and also a great venue to party.

There the Outback Steakhouse, Kros Nest, and a variety of shops offer soccer fans a great place to dine and celebrate when the games are on.

Also outside the stadium you will find a variety of nice Chinese restaurants to dine at. Wangsheng Beef Noodles makes authentic beef noodles from the Xiangjiang minority. Gua Lu Kao Ya serves the well-known roast duck. And Grandpa and Grandmas offers some of Beijings most popular Hunan cuisines.
